Crandall steel weldment chain slides are mounted on the track cross-ties to provide a chafing surface for the chains, protecting the surface below. Modifications can be made to accommodate existing track cross-tie details.
In some cases, Crandall can also supply replacement cast steel chain slides. Drawings can be provided for shipyards desiring to fabricate their own chain slides.
